My Story
From a small town in Denmark to building a yoga school in Bali, raising three kids between two worlds, and learning that the unconventional path is the only one that ever made sense.
From Denmark to Bali
I grew up in Denmark, but I always knew the traditional path wasn't for me. Instead of settling into a conventional career, I packed my bags and traveled through Southeast Asia and Australia — searching for something that felt right.
I found it in Bali. What started as a stop on the journey became home. I fell in love with the place, the people, and the possibility of building something meaningful here.
Building The Peaceful Warriors
Together with my partner, I co-founded The Peaceful Warriors Yoga School. We started from scratch and built it into a thriving school that runs 200-Hour and 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings in Bali, Portugal, and online through hybrid programs.
It hasn't been a straight line. Building a business in Bali as a foreigner, navigating two cultures, figuring things out as we go — that's been the reality. But every challenge taught us something, and now we get to help hundreds of people each year become yoga teachers and start their own journeys.
Motherhood on Our Own Terms
We have three kids, and we homeschool all of them. We split our time between Denmark and Indonesia, and our children are growing up between two very different worlds.
People often ask how we manage it all — running a business, homeschooling, and living as nomads. The honest answer is: it's messy and beautiful, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Our kids are learning by living, and that's the whole point.
What I Want to Share
I built a life that people told me wasn't possible — leaving the hamster wheel, building a successful business abroad, raising a family on my own terms. None of it required a special degree or a trust fund. It required saying yes to the uncomfortable things and figuring the rest out along the way.
